US sketch dump

It's good to be back home.
Here are some of my sketches from when I was in the US. I think I'll turn some of the sketches into something but not all of them. That was the good thing about the trip - I drew without any intention of making a complete piece. And that freed me to explore things and try again when something didn't work. It's probably good for improving my drawing so I hope I can keep it up now that I'm home.
The left head is drawn from a stock photo from faestock (she has taken down her photos). I didn't have much inspiration so I used the stock to help get my juices flowing. Since the sketch inspired me to draw the right sketch, I guess it worked. I took a photo of myself to help draw the hands. And then ended up using my hair for reference...

A person in the style of the game, Okamiden. I got the game in New York. I love the art style and the game is great too. But it looks like you can't feed animals like you can in Okami. This makes me sad. And I can't bark either. OK, maybe being able to bark is a useless feature but it was fun.
And another sketch where I took a photo of myself for reference (left). But it didn't turn out how I wanted, which was less realistic. So I tried again (right) with no reference except for the original sketch. It still isn't where I want it but I like it enough to think that it is worth another try.
